A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) was held at PM Narendra Modi’s house for about two hours on Thursday night to discuss the new situation that emerged after this war.

According to sources, PM Narendra Modi has returned from the election campaign in UP. After this, he held a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on the situation in Russia-Ukraine War. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Presidents of the three services and officials of the Ministry of Defense were present in this meeting.

Fierce war started in Russia-Ukraine
A fierce war has started between Russia and Ukraine (Russia-Ukraine War) from Thursday after military tension that has erupted for the past several days. Ukraine has alleged that Russian forces have launched simultaneous attacks on different parts of it. Ukraine claims that it has also retaliated, shot down 7 Russian fighter jets and captured 2 soldiers alive. According to sources, PM Modi can talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone tonight on this issue.

NATO countries also started war preparations
At the same time, NATO countries have also reacted strongly to Russia’s action. NATO Secretary General JENS STOLTENBERG demanded that Russia should immediately withdraw its forces from Ukraine (Russia-Ukraine War) by ceasing its military action. STOLTENBERG said that NATO has deployed 100 fighter jets and 120 ships in the alliance countries to deal with the situation. Any aggressive behavior by Russia will be strongly retaliated. The leaders of NATO countries are going to hold a big meeting on Friday to discuss the situation.

According to sources, what should be India’s strategy on this issue. On this, there is a situation of religious crisis in front of India. India has historical relations with Russia. At the same time, India’s relations with America and NATO countries have also increased in recent years. In such a situation, it is not easy for India to take the side of any one. In such a situation, PM Modi held a big meeting of the Security Committee (CCS) of the Cabinet to formulate the exact strategy of India.

Indeed Russia’s declaration of war on Ukraine has prompted outrage from across the world with nations and people alike condemning President Vladimir Putin’s act.

While he has claimed that it’s a military action in Ukraine, explosions could be heard soon after in the capital Kyiv and other parts of the country. Putin also called on Ukrainian service members to “lay down their arms and go home”, adding that the special military action was meant for “demilitarization and denazification” of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenksy said he was unsuccessful at seeking talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Zelensky stated that a “major war in Europe” could be started by Russia soon.

As his statement comes amid Ukraine facing threats of the Russian invasion, netizens also took to Twitter to share their fears that the Russia-Ukraine crisis might trigger a World War 3 like situation.

While several shared a serious concern of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, others posted funny memes, trying to make light of the ensuing situation.
